Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) was fascinated by its former students on Saturday morning till afternoon. A reunion programme was held with its all ex-students titled Walton AAB Reunion 2015 at the BKSP campus in Savar.
Naimur Rahman Durjoy was accorded reception in this reunion programme, which was given by Alumni Association of BKSP (AAB). The reception was given him at noon. As a former player of the national cricket team he was elected as a parliament member. That's why he has been selected for the reception.
After reception, Durjoy thanked everybody and in his speech he said, "There was a time when so many people had little interest in the sports. In that time Bangladesh was far leg behind then others. But Bangladesh is now self-sufficient. That's why the interest about sports is increasing day by day. Thanks to the Alumni Association of BKSP for giving me the reception. Hopefully in near future Bangladesh will go far away in sports."
The festive atmosphere was encircled at the BKSP as sports persons from all departments were present and the scenario of BKSP's became lively around the day.
The BKSP has been Bangladesh's premier sports development institution since 1986. Some of the most famous BKSP alumni include cricket superstar Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh National Cricket Team captain Mushfiqur Rahim, national football captain Mamunul Islam, hockey's Asian All Star Team member Mamunur Rashid, SAF Games gold medalist in swimming Karar Mizanur Rahman, shooting sensation Asif Ahmed and SAF Games 100-metre gold medalist Bimal Chandra Tarafdar. Most of them are present there to celebrate the day.
Director General of BKSP Brig Gen Ali Mortuza Khan was present in the programme along with Former Director General Lt. Cornel MA Lotif, President of Alumni Association of BKSP Rafiqul Islam and Operative Director of Creative and Publications Department Uday Hakim.
