Sunamgonj: The bodies of a man and his son were recovered from Tangnir Haor in Dirai Upazilla on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Faruk Ahmed Chawdhury, 55, and his son Eksan Chawdhury 13, hailing from Tarol village of the Upazilla.

Police and locals said Faruk Ahmed Chawdhury went for fishing with his son in a small boat to the neighboring Tangnir Haor around 10pm on Thursday night.

The father and son both went missing after a sudden storm in the Hawor area.

Locals spotted the bodies floating in the Haor around 2pm on Friday.

Officer in-charge of Dirai police station, Bayes Alam said, on information police recovered the bodies with the help of the locals.
