Drug peddlers held with phensedyl

COMILLA, Sept 7: Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 1300 bottles of phensedyl from a private car on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Ballarchar area under Chandina upazila of the district on Sunday.
The arrested are Faruk, 24, son of Shafiqul Islam of Salmanpur area under Sadar Dakkhin upazila in Comilla district and Raju, 25, son of Shahab Uddin of Mirikpur village under Sadar upazila in Laxmipur district.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Eliotganj outpost Mizanur Rahman said they signaled a Dhaka-bound private car (Dhaka-metro-ga-39-1712) to stop, but it was trying to flee. At one stage, law enforcers caught the private car at 10am at Ballarchar area and arrested Faruk and Raju. Police also recovered the phensedyl from the private car.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandina Police Station Rasul Ahmed Nijami, said a case was filed in this connection.
