The government has appointed Maj Gen Abul Kalam Mohammad Humayun Kabir as the next Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya. He joined Bangladesh Army on December 21 in 1980, a Foreign Ministry press release said on Monday. Maj Gen Humayun Kabir, NDU, PSC, has a distinguished military career and he had served as the Chairman of Sena Kalyan Sangstha, Military Secretary to the President, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals, chief of doctrine, Army Training and Doctrine Command; General Staff Officer first grade and also as the chief of operations of BANBAT 1, UN Mission in Mozambique.
