A Dhaka Court on Wednesday issued arrest warrant against six people, including Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana's mother Marjina Begum, in a case filed for violating the building code in connection with the Rana Plaza building collapse in 2013 at Savar.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Shahinoor Rahman passed the order as the Court accepted the charge sheet in the case.
The  warrant issued  against the other accused are  Chief Executive Officer of Savar Municipality Uttam Kumar Roy, former engineer of Savar Municipality Mahbubur Rahman, Urban Planner, Farzana Islam, Md Mahbubul Alam and Nantu contractors.
The Court asked Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Savar Police Station to submit a report over the execution of Warrant of Arrest by August 18.
 On the other hand, the Court fixed August 18 for the government sanction against four government officers to take into cognisance in another case filed for killing people in the building collapse.
The Court asked the Investigation Officer of the case to include the names of the four government officers in the charge sheet after taking approval from the Labour and the LGRD Ministry.
It fixed August 18 for issuing an order on the charge sheet in the murder case.
Two years after the Rana Plaza tragedy the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police on June 1 submitted the charge sheet against 42 people, including Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana, in the two cases filed over the garment factory collapse that killed 1,129 people and injured 2,515.
Some 594 people were shown as witnesses in the murder case besides 135 in another case.
 Of the total 41 accused, 25 remained fugitive while 16 are in jail now. On April 24 in 2013, Rana Plaza building collapsed at Savar on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka. Rajuk on that day filed a case with Savar Model Police Station against Sohel Rana for violating the Bangladesh Building Code. Savar police also filed a case accusing six people, including Sohel Rana, on April 25 for committing murder.
