A 10-year-old boy, Fahim Ahmed, was killed as a passenger carrying bus ran over him in the city's Dhanmondi area on Wednesday.
Body of the victim was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy
Following the incident, the angry mobs torched the bus.
On information, two units of the Fire Service rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
Fahim, son of Jahangir Alam and Jhorna Begum of Dhomondi village under Shreepur in Gazipur, was run over in front of Anwar Khan Modern Hospital at noon.  Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Model Police Station Nure Azam Miah confirmed the matter.
