Comedian Rashed Rana Pappu passed away at his Lalbagh residence in the capital while taking his sehri on Monday. His maternal uncle Md. Javed confirmed his death. At the time of his death he aged 47.
His janaja prayer was said at the Kazi Dewan Talgach Wala Mosque in Lalbagh in the city after the 'Zohr' prayer at noon. Afterwards he was buried at the Azimpur Graveyard.
Recently Pappu had spent some days in the hospital due to coronary problems. Pappu rose to popularity by appearing in the BTV show 'Shuvechcha' hosted by Abdun Noor Tushar.
Pappu has left his wife Nipa and son Abir behind.
