The unique concept and arrangement of a colorful and spicy 'Bhorta Utshab' have amazed both the students and teachers of the Law faculty, and their overwhelming participation and responses have proved one little point, we are after all, the blessed children of this soil always craving for the roots. The hot and spicy arrangement of different sets of vortas (12 items of Vorta was there!), the traditional delicacy of Shorshe Ilish (Hilsa Fish in Mustard gravy) and Daal-Gosh (Chicken with lentils) along with the sweet dishes including Mangoes and Finni were relished by the guests; gleefully contenting the heart and of course, the tummy.
The program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Honorable chairman of the National Human Rights Commission of Bangladesh. His Excellencies' presence added more spicy  to the event on that cloud-fed rainy day .   Professor Dr. Borhan Uddin Khan, Honorable Chairman of the Law Department and iconic teacher Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul were also present at the ceremony. The colorful presence of a number of faculty members of the Law Faculty and the students of 37th Batch has made the event a memorable success.
The recently graduated 37th Batch of the Law Department has arranged a number of breakthrough events throughout their journey in Law school. Introduction of Law Students Association, thriving legal scholarship through Law review, enormous achievement in sport, the culture of outdoor adventures and eloquent presence in the Mooting arena has colored this batch as an exceptional one. This last event just added another feather in their cap, and proved that Law students must not confine themselves within rack of books and cases. Rather, they must strive for searching the soul.
