The newly-elected committee of Dhaka Sub-Editors' Council (DSEC), headed by Nasima Akhter Shoma and Abul Kalam Azad as the President and General Secretary respectively, has taken charge.
Outgoing DSEC President Ashraful Islam and General Secretary Shahjahan Miah handed over all documents and relevant papers to the new body after a joint meeting at the National Press Club on Sunday morning.
Among others, Vice-President KM Shahidul Haque, Joint Secretary Muktadir Anik, Treasurer AKM Obaidur Rahman, Organising Secretary Zakir Hossain Emon, Publicity and Publication Secretary Arifa Sultana, Office Secretary Abu Kawser Khokon, Sports and Cultural Secretary Abul Kalam, Training and Research Secretary Alok Biswas, Executive Committee Members Arif Abedin Zeeshan, Dilruba Khan, Momena Akter Popy, Anjuman Ara Shilpi, Idris Madraji, Nasir Uddin Bulbul, Zauhar Iqbal Khan, Alam Hossain, Labin Rahman, Deepak Bhoumik, Shiddhartha Shankar Dhar, ex-President AL Mamun, ex-Joint Secretary Nasrin Giti, Senior Member Abdullah Ferdous, Shah Matin Tipu, ex-Treasurer Shahdat Rana, ex-Publicity and Publication Secretary Mannan Miah, General Members  Mohammd Shahidul Islam, Amirul Islam Manik, Mansur Ahmed, Alam Shams, Masum Ahammod and Rafiq Islam, were present in the meeting.
