AK Azad, and Mohammad Younus and Md Abdul Barek have been unanimously re-elected chairman and vice-chairmen respectively of the board of directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL).
The election came at the 217th board meeting of the bank held at its head office in the city on Wednesday, said a press release.
 AK Azad is the managing director of Ha-Meem Group of Industries, a largest industrial group in the country.
He is also president of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) and former president of FBCCI.
He engaged in jute, textile, tea and ready-made garments industry and are contributing creation of employment situation in the country.
Azad is also the managing director of Channel 24 and the Daily Samakal.       
Mohammad Younus, an industrialist and businessman, has a long and creditable business experience for about two decades and engaged in papers, fabrics and cold storages industries in the country.
Mr Younus is the managing director of Sobhan Ice & Cold Storage Limited, Younus Filament Industries Limited, Younus Plastic Industries Limited, Younus Cold Storage Limited, Quality Accessories Limited and so on.
He is also a director of NTV.
Md Abdul Barek started business after completion of his education.
He is a sponsor shareholder of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limitsd and Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited.
He is the proprietor of Arju Electronics, Jony Electronics and Rony Electronics.
Abdul Barek has long and creditable business experience for more than two decades.
