London: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived here on Friday on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom.

A Bangladesh Biman flight (BG-001) carrying the Prime Minister landed at Heathrow International Airport at 3.47 pm local time.

Bangladesh Ambassador in London Abdul Hannan, senior officials of Bangladesh Mission and leaders of Bangladesh community received the Prime Minister at the airport.

During the cruise, the Prime Minister went around the passenger lounges and exchanged pleasantries with the Europe bound travelers and inquired about their well-being.

Bangladeshi diasporas in UK would accord a reception to the Prime Minister on June 14 for outstanding achievements of Sheikh Hasina and her government in different fields particularly the recent success in resolving the long drawn Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India.

Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home on June 18.
