Jatiya Press Club (JPC) President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Qamrul Islam Chowdhury on Thursday in a statement expressed resentment over spreading propaganda by ex general secretary of the club Syed Abdal Ahmed.
They said while the newly executive committee was trying to run normal activities of the club after taking charge, he (Syed Abdal Ahmed) was trying to create obstacle by filing a case in the first joint district judge court, said the statement.
While the newly executive committee in a meeting today has taken a master plan for overall development of the club, including establishment of a high rise media complex building in the western part of the club, said a press release. The meeting was held with the club president and convener of the development committee Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman in the chair.
General Secretary of the club Qamrul Islam Chowdhury, member Aman Ullah Kabir, Khandakar Monirul Alam, Kartik Chaterjee, Syed Shamsul Alam Chowdhury, Shamsuddin Ahmed and Elahi Newaz Khan Saju, among others, were present in the meeting.    ?BSS
