BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday visited a photography exhibition on late President Ziaur Rahman's life and works at National Press Club in the capital.Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student front of the party, organised the exhibition marking the 34th death anniversary of Zia.
Khaleda, the widow of Zia, also distributed foods among the destitute for the second consecutive day. She started the food distribution programme from Dhaka North City Corporation market at Gulshan-2 in the capital early on the day and concluded the same at Gabtoli bus terminal.
Meanwhile, Afroza Abbas, wife of BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas and Vice-President of BNP's women front Mahila Dal, distributed foods among the destitute and participated in Milad Mahfil at several spots in Shahjanpur area to mark the day.
Former President Ziaur Rahman was assassinated by a group of disgruntled army officers at Chittagong Circuit House on this day in 1981.
