Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq on Saturday said the capital will be turned into a clean city in next two and half years. The newly elected mayor said this while inaugurating an awareness rally for a special cleanliness campaign in the capital's Farmgate area.
He also hoped a visible change will be seen in next six months.
Annisul expected the public support to achieve the goal.
DNCC organised the rally to raise public awareness about the necessity of cleanliness.
The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) also arranged the similar awareness campaign.
The officials called upon the city dwellers to keep the city and their homes clean.
