The Home Ministry on Wednesday formed a four-member probe committee led by its Joint Secretary to find out the reasons behind the regular robbery incidents at Madhukhali area under Faridpur.
At the same time, a case that was filed regarding the bus robbery incident on May 19 has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) from police.
The Ministry has issued separate gazette notifications in this connection followed by the decision of a tripartite meeting held on May 25. Joint Secretary AK Mafizul Haque signed the notification.
The case was filed in connection with a robbery incident that took place at a passenger bus 'Sohag Paribahan' at Maizkandi area in Faridpur on May 19.
The probe body was given 15 working days to submit the probe report.
