Transport strike withdrawn in north, southern region

Transport owners and workers association leaders on Monday evening withdrew their ongoing transport strike in country’s north and southern regions.
State minister for home affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal came up with the disclosure at 6:30pm.
Earlier at 3:00pm, representatives from the ministries concerned met the leaders of transport owners and workers associations at home ministry in city.
Shipping minister Shahjahan Khan prsided over the the meeting.
Among others, Transport Owners Association general secretary Khandakar Enayetullah and Transport Workers Federation general secretary Osman, were also present.
