Staff Correspondent Lawyers representing war criminal Ali Ahsan Mujahid on Saturday met him in Narayanganj jail before placing arguments in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court against the death penalty awarded to him by the International Crimes Tribunal. The apex court is set to hear the contention of the counsels of the death row convict on May 24 (today), said Shishir Manir, a lawyer of the Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General. The lawyers got the necessary instruction from Mujahid for the arguments to be placed in the apex court, said the counsel, adding that they also consulted him on other issues.
