Salahuddin shifted to Indira Gandhi hospital

BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed has been shifted to North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (Neigrihms) hospital for better treatment, media reports.

He was admitted to the Neigrihms hospital around 5:30pm (Bangladesh Time). Earlier, Salahuddin had been undergoing treatment at Shillong Civil Hospital in Meghalaya.

While coming out of the hospital, BNP joint secretary general told reporters that he was greatful to the Indian government for arranging better treatment. He also sought blessing from the countrymen for early recovery.

GK Goswami said a stone has been detected in his kidney and it requires more medical examinations which are not available in the Shillong hospital.

Salahuddin's wife Hasina Ahmed met him at the hospital.
