Election Commissioner Md Shahnewaz on Sunday said that all kinds of social media --facebook, twitter, mobile text messaging will be stopped from Sunday midnight ahead of City Corporation polls.

"All public transports will remain suspended from 6:00am, April 28 to 8:00am, April 29," Md Shahnewaz said this at a press briefing.

He also directed the authorities concerned for monitoring every polling centre otherwise action will be taken.

The CC polls will be held on April 28.
