Kushtia: A man and his son were killed as a motor exploded in Daulatpur upazila on Saturday night.

The dead were identified as--Malitha alias Hekmat Ali, 50, and his nine-year-old son Sohan.

Daulatpur Thana ASI Rabiul Islam said, electric short circuit caused the blast of the motor of shallow machine around 11pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
