When I started working as a community manager at Google, I thought it's really tough to work with people and manage a big community. As the days passed by - I found out it's actually more than what I thought of. Not only you have to manage activities but also have play role connecting people, negotiating for public good, work in policy level and what not!
After working for more than 5 years as community / tech / startup evangelist - I see the rise of young Bangladesh as thinkers, doers and problem solvers. Youth of today not only can identify the problems but also making real life solutions to make life easier. They are learning how to hustle and how to sell. Innovation needs a whole eco-system to grow.
When I see a student from Chittagong earning in six figures just by working from home or a woman who is running a Facebook e-commerce store and earning more than his husband - that is something gives you peace inside. It's not always about making money, our innovators are solving social problems like women harassment (Daak App), pregnancy problems (Ma o Shishu App), traffic jam solver (GoBD App) and many other.
You don't need to be an Einestine to contribute to the society or make some achievement. Just free yourself from the walls you have built inside your mind. Bangladesh is on rise. The next champion is YOU.
