The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) clarified that there was no seperate fund named 'Rana Plaza' in the PM office. Neither it existed in the past, it added.
Following Transparency International, Bangladesh's (TIB) claim at a press conference on Wednesday that Tk 108 crore meant for Rana Plaza victims left unused, the PMO office at a press conference on Thursday gave the clarification that there was no separate fund for Rana Plaza victims.
Director of PMO Kabir Bin Anwar made the clarification.
He also said the Rana Plaza victims were given financial assistance from the relief and welfare fund of the Prime Minister.
Over 1,100 people were killed in Rana Plaza building collapse in 2013.
