Election Commissioner Mohammad Shahnewaz on Tuesday said the army will be deployed from April 26 to April 29 to ensure level-playing field in the upcoming City Corporation elections scheduled on April 28.
 
The election commissioner told journalists at election commission office on Tuesday afternoon.

"We talked with law enforcing agencies. They said the law and order situation is normal in the country. Despite army will be deployed to remove people's anxiety and to hold an acceptable election," Shahnewaz said.
