RAJSHAHI, Apr 20: A youth was killed by his cousin with a spade over land dispute in Konabari area under Baghmara upazila of Rajshahi Monday morning.
 The deceased was identified as Atabur Rahaman, 35, son of Abdul Jabbar, resident of the area.
Witnesses told the Daily Observer that there was a long standing dispute between one Hanif Hossain and his cousin Atabur Rahman over their land property. As a continuity of this in Monday morning, they locked into an altercation. At one stage, Hanif hacked Atabur with a spade, leaving him dead on the spot.
Confirming the matter Abdur Rajjak, Baghmara Police Station OC, told that the killer managed to flee the spot immediately so that the law enforcers could not nab him. "Necessary actions will be taken in this connection," he added.
