10 Bangladeshis return home from Yemen

Ten more Bangladeshi nationals have returned home from Yemen via Djibouti on Saturday evening.  

Assistant director of airport welfare desk Tanvir Hossain confirmed it to the media. They have arrived at 6:45pm on Saturday in a flight of Fly Dubai, he added.

Earlier, foreign secretary Md Shahidul Haque said 10 Bangladeshis are scheduled to land at Dhaka airport in a flight of Fly Dubai Biman FZ-585.

He said while briefing journalists at his office at the ministry on Saturday noon. He said so far 340 Bangladeshis have been evacuated from Yemen to Djibouti.

The foreign secretary said Indian Naval ship has evacuated 340 Bangladeshis while Air India evacuated 20.

Shahidul Haque said, "We have a plan to bring Bangladeshis in Djibouti to Kochin port of Kerala in an Indian ship.

They would be brought back to Dhaka in a special flight.

In the first phase, 11 Bangladeshis were brought back hom on Friday.

Saudi Arabia is carrying out attacks on Yemeni Houthi rebels. Bangladesh support it.
