Barisal-Police have arrested driver Zakir Hossain in a case filed in connection with Faridpur road accident which killed 25 people. Officer-in-Charge of Vanga thana Md Hossain Sarker on Saturday arrested him from Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Earlier, police filed a case against him in the allegation of reckless driving which caused the accident.
OC Md Hossain told the media that he would be produced at Faridpur court.
The bus carrying around 50 passengers left the Gaptali bus terminal at 9:00pm on Wednesday, and was going to Barisal.
The bus veered off the road and rammed into a number of trees at 1:30pm at Kaidubi area of Vanga in Faridpur.
