Annisul Huq, the Awami League-blessed mayor candidate for the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) elections, has promised to make capital Dhaka a clean, green and enlightened city.
The former BGMEA President made the pledge while unveiling his six-point election manifesto through a power point presentation at his office at the Lotus Kamal Tower in the capital on Saturday.
In the manifesto titled “Somoshya chinhito, ebar shomadhan jatra (problems are known; now its time to begin the journey for solving those),” he identified some problems in Dhaka like waste management, air pollution, transport, health and recreation and later showed the way of solution.
Annisul said common people can inform him about problems of their locality and can seek remedy on a special website using mobile apps. “If voted to power, I will make the issues of setback public and try to solve those,” he added.
Promising not to turning the Nagar Bhaban a party office, the leading businessman also said, “The Nagar Bhaban will be run with the participation by all people. I want to be a friend of the city dwellers.”
Annisul Huq got ‘Table clock’ as symbol for participating the DNCC polls slated for April 28.
