RAJSHAHI, Apr 3: Two days after the crash of a trainer plane that killed trainee pilot Tamanna Rahman Rhidi in Rajshahi, Bangladesh Flying Academy (BAF) today suspended all training operations here for an indefinite period.
Squadron Leader (Retd) HM Akhter Khan, the chief of the four-member investigation team, told our Rajshahi correspondent on Friday afternoon.
On Tuesday, trainee pilot Tamanna died as the training aircraft of BFA crashed on the runway while taking off at Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi.
The chief instructor of BAF was wounded badly in the crash. He was flown to Singapore from Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Friday for better treatment.
Moniruzzaman Rumi, Chief Engineer of BAF, said that they suspended the operation following a letter issued by the BAF headquarters.
