In their way to semi-final India beat another Asian country Bangladesh by 109 on March 19 while Australia defeated Pakistan by six wickets.
Earlier, the former champion Sri Lanka was outplayed by South Africa as the Proteas defeated the Lankans by nine wickets on March 18.
