Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) is set to provide free outdoor health service on Tuesday marking the 95th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2015.
The BSMMU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Pran Gopal Datta will inaugurate the free outdoor health service, said an official release of the medical university.
He already asked all the departmental chairmen and director (hospital) of the BSMMU to take necessary measures to this end.
Over 400 employees of the BSMMU including 32 professors, 25 associate professors, 25 assistant professors, 10 specialist physicians, more than 100 medical officers, concerned officers, nurses and employees of the BSMMU will be engaged in providing free health service.
In observance of the birthday of Bangabandhu, a day-long free blood group detection and voluntary blood donation program, will be held at the first floor of Block-A of the BSMMU under supervision of Transfusion Medicine Department.
BSMMU VC Dr Pran Gopal Datta this morning unveiled the cover of a book titled "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University:Kach Theke Dekha Ghatonabali" written by Professor Shafiqul Islam at Ophthalmology Department housed on block-C of the BSMMU.
