JOY GOSWAMI'S 'SNAAN'
Translated by Rash-ha Muntaqaa

Hem-haw… you must know, even if do I dither
I'd love dwindling gript, at least once, once in an epoch, my lifetime
Glimpses theft were never thug before, tacit either
Words mine; invader weir, sent my say scared stiff and my rhyme
Circled these eyeballs lost my immerse in (and outside)
I came to know, you long for the beast brutal, men that hide
Heartlocked you, abandoned lone, tie yourself to your groans
Floretland's untrue vows tousled like a chaplet bone's
Into your curls; what if I claim seizure, the clout to split that frameknot
Of your crown? And what you say if I show up, the human you
Secure your cascade-pour thrilled though still unscathed for?
Lo! It's me night-roving here, concealing my iceburnt ell, burnt so blue
Far from your urban home; ceased not my lust for cease, raptness nor!
I eyewitnessed natal of a new blossom by a corpse all alone
To moonstrike a blind lady
I keep alive desert city
Secluded night's blackest fall
Eye to eye preaches plea
If only you can clasp its gist, once enthral the poet deaf
If he hem-haws, quite ignore all glare those, do blind him
Dribble the newest sight from left fragment of that peck's line
Let whole world watch wrath worst yours
Passerby goes blind, endures
Fronting bloodred fireglobe,
The intertwine in one bathrobe
Rain blatant falls, nude duo wherewith
Your oddball poet and you joinbathe
