Rangpur Division secure championship trophy

Unbeaten Rangpur Division clinched the championship title of the Walton 16th National Cricket League defeating Dhaka Metropolis by 102 runs in a last and final round match at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan Ground-2 in Savar on Thursday.
Rangpur Division earned 121 points and secured the top level in the league table from their seven matches with four win and three draw to become the champions.
Khulna Division bagged the runner up trophy earning 120 points with four wins one loss and two draw while defending champions Dhaka Division earned 119 points to be placed third with four win and three draw.
In other matches of seventh round of four days match, Dhaka Division won over Rajshahi Division by 134 runs at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah while Sylhet Division beat Barisal Division by 10 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Khulna Division earlier beat Chittagong Division by an innings and 24 runs on Wednesday at BKSP Ground-3 in Savar.
In the day's match, Rangpur Division resumed the second innings on the fourth day with overnight 248 runs for 7 in 58 overs and scored 306 runs for all in 69.3 overs.
In reply, Dhaka Metro opened the second innings and were all out for 258 runs in 79.1 overs.
Mahmudul Hasan of Rangpur Division was named the player of the match.
In Fatullah, Dhaka Division resumed the second innings on the fourth day with overnight 249 for 6 in 74 overs and scored 332 for 9 (declared) in 86.1 overs.
Rajshahi Division started their second innings and finally dismissed for 225 runs in 68.5 overs.
Mosharraf Hossain of Dhaka Division was adjudged the player of the match.
In the day's another match, Barisal Division resumed the second innings on the fourth day with overnight 166 for 2 in 48 overs and eventually scored 390 runs for all in 113.3 overs.
Sylhet Division opened the second innings on the fourth day and reached the target scoring 75 runs for no loss in 13.4 overs, riding on the unbeaten opening stand between Roman Ahmed and Shanaj Ahmed.
Rajin Saleh of Sylhet Division was named the player of the match.
