Terming the BNP chairperson ‘a leader of militants', Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said Khaleda Zia must be tried for harboring militancy and violence.
“Those who kill people are extremists. We have to put up resistance against those extremists. And it is our oath of March 7,” the prime minister said while addressing a rally organised to mark Historic March 7 at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday.
Sheikh Hasina also deplored the defeated force of 1971 has been carrying out attacks on innocent people and killing them.
Mentioning the attack on Awami League leaders and activists who were on way to join the rally, the AL chief called upon all to resist those who unleash violence in the country.
Labeling blocked enforcer Khaleda ‘murderer’, the Premier alleged the BNP chairperson expected foreign support but her expectation was not fulfilled.
