20 injured in petrol bomb attacks in Kishoreganj, C’nawabganj

At least 20 people were injured, 15 of them received burn injuries, in petrol bomb attacks in Kishoreganj and Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday midnight.

In Kishoreganj, miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a bus at Sultanpur in Sadar upazila at about 11:30pm, leaving 17 passengers injured, 12 of them received burn injuries.

Two of the burn injured, were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while the rest admitted to local hospitals.

Kishoreganj Fire Service sources said 50 poultry birds and six goats were also burn to death in the fire.

In Chapainawabganj, three people sustained burn injures when a petrol bomb was thrown at a potato-laden truck at Kanthal crossing in Gomostapur upazila at about 11pm on Wednesday.

Injured truck driver Firoz, 30, helper Selim, 25, and potato trader Shahed, 32, were first admitted to Gomostapur upazila health complex. Later they were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
