1 lakh Yaba pills seized in Teknaf, Myanmar national held

Cox's Bazar, Mar 3: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives seized 1 lakh Yaba tablets worth Tk 3 crore and arrested a Myanmar national in Teknaf upazila on Tuesday. Tipped off, a BGB team conducted a drive in Kayukkhali canal of the Naf River around 8:30 am and seized 90,000 Yaba pills from a boat, said Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zar Al-Zahid, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-42 in Teknaf. However, no one was arrested as the smugglers managed to flee. In a separate drive, another team of BGB conducted a drive in Chowdhurypara area and arrested a Myanmar citizen along with 10,000 contraband tablets around 9:00am. ?UNB
