Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday alleged that the BNP-Jamaat combine carried out genocide across the country in the name of movement, which is impossible to be tolerated by any human-being.
"The BNP-Jamaat alliance is accused of killing as they carried out genocide across the country and it is impossible for any human being  to accept it," she said adding, "May Allah give good sense to those who are burning people to death so that they stop such heinous acts."
The Prime Minister said this while addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the 4th International Conference on Plastic Surgery at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The Society of Plastic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SPSB) has arranged the four-day conference.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awani League President, said the BNP-Jamaat nexus have created a horrific situation across the country in the name of their so-called movement.
"Such so-called movement is not working and not effective as the people are not responding. That's why BNP-Jamaat is creating panic among the people by hurling petrol bombs," she said.
Sheikh Hasina said the conference is held at a time when a political alliance is killing innocent people including children and pregnant women through hurling petrol bombs in order to achieve their narrow political gain.
Criticising the ongoing killings of people by BNP and Jamaat, Sheikh Hasina said, "What kind of cruelty is this? What kind of politics is this? This is not politics?.these are entirely terrorist and militant activities."
She said such atrociousness could not be tolerated which is very unfortunate, pathetic and painful. "How could a man burn another to death?"
PM announced that an international standard burn and plastic surgery institute would be set up in the country to provide better services to the burn patients.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim and State Minister for Health Zahid Maleque were present at the function as the special guests.
SPSB President Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Secretary of the Ministry of Health Syed Monjurul Islam, SPSB Secretary General Dr Md Abul Kalam and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee Prof Brig Gen (retd) Anjan Kumar Deb also spoke on the occasion.
