The government has suggested eight tips to instantly treat burn injuries as common people regularly suffer burn wounds in petrol bomb attack during blockade and hartal enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
The suggestions were given in a handout on Thursday, and a mobile number of National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute was given for contact.
A victim has to welter on earth immediately after receiving burn injuries instead of being panic and running to and fro.
“Pour huge amount of water on the burn spot but do not give ice and cold water from the refrigerator,” it suggested.
As part of precautionary measures, it was suggested to keep a bottle of water and a wet cloth nearby. If someone is affected, he or she has to be grasped with wet clothes.
The patient with burn injuries has been asked to breath in and out long, and his/her mouth has to be cleaned.
It was forbidden to use toothpaste, egg and thin layer of milk in the affected spot.

The BNP-led 20-party alliance has been enforcing nonstop blockade since January 6, after the alliance failed hold a rally in the capital on January 5. The alliance has been launching movement to hold a fresh election under a non-party administration.
During the blockade and hartal, passenger buses and goods-laden trucks came under petrol bomb attacks across the country.
Since the blockade, over one hundred people died, over 50 of them died from arson attack. After being arson attacks, many victims have been undergoing treatment in the hospitals.
