Internet-based knowledge encyclopaedia Wikipedia Co-founder Jimmy Wales is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday to attend the 10th year celebration programme of Bangla Wikipedia.
Jimmy is expected to land at Shah Jalal International Airport in the morning and attend a day-long programme at a local hotel in the capital.
Wikimedia Bangladesh President Munir Hasan confirmed the information at a press briefing at BASIS auditorium on Tuesday.
The daylong programme includes the 10-year celebration of Bangla Wikipedia and a panel discussion titled "Internet For all is equal to access to knowledge".
The Wiki Co-founder will present the key-note presentation on Wikipedia and its activities.
Wikimedia Bangladesh chapter organised different workshops at universities and divisional level to active wiki-editors to enrich Bangla contents in Wikipedia.
"There are 77,000 registered Wikipedians in Bangladesh.
