SYLHET, Feb 15: Branding BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as the 'queen of terrorism', Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Sunday said some of her 'hooligans' have been creating anarchy in the country.
The Finance Minister made the comment while addressing the inauguration programme of Chief Judicial Magistrate court building as the chief guest.
"The ongoing movement of BNP is not a political movement, it's a terrorist movement. It's our responsibility to check it," he said.
Criticising Khaleda Zia, Muhith said, "She announces progammes for movement from her house. She doesn't call any rally ? her hooligans have been carrying out anarchic activities. We'll have to prevent all this.
About Jamaat-e-Islami, a key component of the BNP-led 20 party alliance, the Finance Minister said the trial of Jamaat leaders for their war crimes must be held ahead of banning the political party.
Law Minister Adv Anisul Huq, Law and Parliamentary Affairs secretary Abu Saleh Sheikh were present at the programme held with district judge Khandaker Kamruzzaman in the chair.    ?UNB
