14 BNP-Jamaat men held in capital

Police arrested 14 leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami from different parts of the capital in last 24-hour till Sunday morning.

Deputy Commissioner (Media) of DMP Masudur Rahman said 10 leaders and activists of BNP and four activists of Jamaat-Shibir were arrested for planning to carry out subversive activities on the first day of the fresh 72-hour nationwide hartal enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance alongside its ongoing countrywide non-stop blockade.
