MOULVIBAZAR, Feb 13: Miscreants allegedly killed a nightguard and looted cash over Tk 3 lakh at Sreemongal upazila in the district on Friday dawn.
The deceased was identified as Harun Miah, 60, of Ashidrone area of the upazila. He was also a nightguard of Jalalabad Flour Mills at Shyamoli area in Srimongal town.
Police and local sources said, a gang of miscreants entered the office room of the mill by breaking open the door. Later they killed the nightguard and looted Tk 3 lakh 50 thousands from the office room.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar 250-bed hospital morgue for an autopsy.
