Two cops hurt in Khulna book-fair crude-bomb attack

Khulna: At least two cops were injured in a crude-bomb attacks in "Amar Ekushey Boi Mela" (Book Fair)-2015 on divisional public library premises in the city on Wednesday night.

The injured police personnel were constable Shimul Biswas and nayek Dilip Kumar of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

Additional deputy police commissioner of KMP Moniruzzaman Mithu told BSS that unidentified miscreants hurled a crude-bomb in front of main gate on the fair around 8.45pm on Wednesday night, leaving two on-duty cops wounded.

They were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).

Eyewitness said after the incident a panic situation was prevailing on the fair premises.
