Four Bangladeshis killed in fire in Oman

Four Bangladeshi migrant workers were killed in factory fire in Oman on Wednesday morning. 

Times of Oman in its online version on Wednesday reported that six people were killed in a fire that broke out in a plastics factory, police tweeted.

"Six were burnt to death and one was injured in the fire that broke out in the plastics and carpentry factory on Wednesday morning," Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances tweeted in its official twitter account.

An official from Bangladesh in Muscat said that the victims have been identified as four Bangladeshi and two Pakistani nationals.

"Our reliable sources reveal that all of them were working in a sofa making factory. The fire must have broken out at around 3am. All six were burnt to death. We are coordinating with local authorities to get more details," a senior official from Bangladesh told Times of Oman.

"Nationality of victims has not been confirmed", hospital sources in Buraimi said adding that  "the bodies have been tagged with plates X1 to X6."

Meanwhile, the hospital source also informed that the condition of the injured is stable.
