CHITTAGONG, Feb 3: Chairman of Mirsarai upazila parishad of the district Nurul Amin has been temporarily suspended on Monday for being accused of some cases filed for sabotage acts.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) of the District Administration Asif Imtiaj said Nurul Amin who has been absconding was wanted in 10 cases and the charge sheets of two cases have already been submitted.
"The ministry of Local Government on Monday sent the suspension letter to the district administration through fax message", he said adding that the suspension was made for his (Nurul Amin) involvement in subversive activities.
The AC also said the district administration has sent a letter to the ministry regarding as to who could replace Amin as the vice chairman of the upazila parishad has also been absconding. "Necessary steps would be taken following directives from the ministry", he added.? BSS
