16 crude bombs, making materials recovered in city

Police in a drive recovered 16 crude bombs and huge amount of bomb making materials from a house of the city’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday night.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman said on a tip off, a team of Khilgaon Police Station launched the drive at house no 333/D/1 in the area and recovered the bombs and bomb making materials around 7:45pm.

However, no one was arrested in this connection.

Masudur Rahman added that it is known that Jatiyatabadi Motor Shramik Dal organising secretary M Tuhin is the resident of the house.

Tuhin was out of the house during the drive, he added.

Meanwhile, three people suffered splinter injuries as pickets hurled two crude bombs at Debhog in Narayanganj city around 7:30pm, said Sadar Model Police Station inspector (investigation) Shahjalal.
