A pick-up van driver, received burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack in Laxmipur district on Monday night, succumbed on way to Dhaka early Tuesday.
The dead was identified as Kamal Hossain, son of Safayetullah of Banchhanagar village in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district.
Police said miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a rice-laden pickup van near the district jail at about 8pm on Monday, leaving three including Kamal seriously injured.
The injured were admitted to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital. Later, doctors referred Kamal to a Dhaka hospital following deterioration of his condition. Kamal died at early hours Tuesday on way to Dhaka.
