Koko laid to rest at Banani graveyard

Arafat Rahman Koko, the youngest son of BNP founder late President Ziaur Rahman and its Chairperson Khaleda Zia, was laid to rest at Banani graveyard on Tuesday evening after the second janaza.

The second namaz-e-janaza for Koko was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Asr prayers.
 
National Mosque's Khatib Maulana Salahuddin Ahmed conducted the funeral prayers for Koko at about 5:15pm.

Apart from BNP leaders and activists, hundreds of people from all walks of life attended the janaza. Later, the body was kept there for sometime for the common people to pay their homage.

Koko's body arrived in Dhaka from Malaysia by a flight of Malaysia Airlines (MH-102) at about 11:41am.

Some senior leaders of BNP received the body at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The body was straight taken to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office from the airport at about 1:32 pm where the BNP chief alongwith other relatives saw the face of her lifeless son for the last time.

Koko died of cardiac arrest in Malaysia at the age of 45 on Saturday.
