Bangladesh national hockey team had to remain satisfied with the 6th position in the eight-nation FIH Hockey World League (Round-2) losing to Ukraine by 1-3 in the 5th/6th place deciding match in Singapore on Sunday. Krishno Kumar Das scored the only goal for Bangladesh in the 39th minute of the match while Sargi Diyachuk, Ozarreski and Pajiok netted one goal each for the winning side. Bangladesh, which failed to reserve a seat for the three spots for Round-3, pulled off a chance to place 5th by virtue of the 3-0 win against hosts Singapore in the 5th to 8th place decider on Friday.
