Two alleged criminals were killed during a gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the capital's Banasree area early Sunday. The identity of the deceased could not be known.
Officer-in-charge Mahbub Alam Tarafdar of Rampura Police Station said, the incident took place near Banasree Ideal School and College around 2:30am when miscreants fired gun shots at the elite force members.
Later, RAB members also fired to protect them which triggering a gunfight.
Two criminals injured by bullets were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead, the OC said.
