The singer, who scored multiple awards for her 'Skyfall' song which featured at the end credits of the last eponymous James Bond film, was spotted earlier this week at a bash in California, and it is believed that she was flown over by executives from MGM to work on new scores, reports mirror.co.uk.
"Everyone thinks Adele is here for her much anticipated new album, but she is actually working on a music idea for the James Bond film," said a source at MGM, which made the film.
"She hadn't been in contact with the film bosses for a few weeks, but suddenly she said she had great plans for the theme, so they flew her over.
"The executives made their feelings known to Adele that they want her back for the next film. They'll still have to decide whether they want the tune once it's recorded," added the source.
According to the source, Bond star Daniel Craig has been a champion for the singer and "asked her to return to sing the new theme".
Meanwhile Lady Gaga has hinted that she is collaborating with Adele after posting a selfie of them together on Thursday. The singer took to Instagram to share the photo with her five million fans, instantly prompting speculation that they are working on new music together.
"Nothing like a Wednesday night bro-down with the beautiful Adele," she wrote alongside the picture which shows them both smiling for the camera.
Adele and Lady Gaga were first rumoured to be collaborating on a new track in November. A source told The Daily Star that Adele had already started working on a song and had planned to get in the studio together in January.
"Adele has started working on a song she thinks would make a perfect piano-led duet. It's early days and there's no guarantee it will make the album. Adele will only release it if it's brilliant and does them both justice but it certainly has the potential to be a classic," the source said. ?ZEE News
